As a smallbusiness, weve steamlined this product to the basics. We only make one type of basket and it fits20-29 tires, up to 2.7 wide, and its fully welded onto the top crossmember. Allof our products are made from locally sourced USA steel, welded with highquality American-made Lincoln welders, and assembled with Grade 8 bolts forsupreme strength. 4 bike spacing about 14. 6 bike spacing at 12. 8 bike spacing at 10. Loaded theunits width is about 90 inches. Still well short of any wide load. Bunjee ball holds bottom tires in. Centermounting plates have holes for padlocks or bunjee cords to be looped through. Rack pivots down to allow for tailgate to open. Standard rack does not clear tailgates unlessit is pivoted down.

Standard rack will hit the back of a boxy-back-ended van. Support straps to top of van or to center of truck bed recommended for loadingof 6-8 bikes for long or bumpy trips due to heavy overhung load on hitch. 6 and8 bike racks are only recommended for vehicles with over 7000 lb towingcapability. Recommended that you keep a 3/4 wrench / ratchet on your vehicle. Hitch pin and tightener is included.
