This purpose built model has been built since 1999 and is the Sturdiest, most over-designed CYCLE RACK AVAILABLE! Motorcycle Carrier/ hitch rack, Class 3,4 or 5 hitch required(2" square receiver)for up to 900 lb capacity(quite often the hauling vehicle may be the limiting factor) This rack is for the larger and heavier motorcycles up to 88" long (wheel end to end). The tires shouldn't be wider than 190 mm or 8.37 to fit inside the tray. The 200mm tires might fit, but I need to confirm so tell me what make/model of the bike and tire!

In functionality and sturdiness i. Wall thickness of the frame/main receiver tubing and other structural members! These modular, high quality, all steel units are manufactured in the US by motorcycleracks. THESE HITCH RACKS ARE THE ONLY CYCLE CARRIERS IN THIS CLASS WHERE THE DEVICE Deploys (2) vertical stabilizer bars to provide isolation from the vehicle and control the sway of the larger motorcycles for closer positioning to the vehicle plus improved ground clearance. Most of the competitors have the motorcycles sticking out there 5-13 more that is necessary and this tends to overload the vehicle!

The motorcycle should be positioned as close as possible to the vehicle but never touch it for the best "drive-ability" possible. The steel tray accommodates a few different types of motorcycles of different length for a near perfect balance of the carrier on the suv, van or truck!! The carrier is modular in design and is interchangeable for optimizing the set-up and for later upgrades/changes to the tray size and receiver bracket for adaptability on other vehicles. (in case you change hauling vehicle or cycle). Other accessories can be readily added later as you get experience with the carrier ie bolt on or magnetic lights and other stabilizer bars to simplify the tie down process.

The dimension on the carrier shown here in all of the photos are: 15.75 and 21 (you have your choice of either dimension on the carrier) from hitch pin to center of cycle tray. It is fully adjustable by moving the tray on the receiver assembly to the other bolt pattern available. THIS CARRIER CANNOT BE USED ON 5TH WHEEL OR TRAVEL TRAILER TYPE VEHICLES, THEY ARE RATED FOR 100-200 LBS TONGUE WEIGHT! Some Motorcycles and particularly the big scooters. Are inherently slightly weighted toward the rear due to the rear engine mounting. To offset this weight and not overload the hitch by excess twist(torsion), the mounting position can be adjusted on the carrier by selecting the proper holes. The carrier comes complete with an 9-1/4" wide x 60" long loading ramp for a gentle incline.

The receiver has the integrated anti-wobble/anti-tilt and a pair of cam lock style tie downs to strap the wheels to the tray. The carrier consists of a heavy duty welded steel receiver assembly with side supports, main carrier tray measuring 8.5" wide x 84" long with front wheel chock, 2 vertical stabilizer bars, 2 horizontal sta-bar, and a loading ramp measuring 9.25" wide x 60" long. You add 2-4 tie downs. The integrated anti-chock/anti-tilt is guaranteed to work on ANY HITCH. (the anti-tilt collar type offered by others do not work on many factory hitches including many GM factory hitches) THIS CARRIER ALSO HAS 4 HEAVY DUTY TIE DOWN POINTS, most of the competition usually offers 2 tie down points with thin bracketry.

The carrier is adjustable on the tray left or right and front to back so can balance the bike and keep it close to the back of the vehicle while providing high ground clearance! THE ASSUMPTIONS FOR THESE BIKES TO FIT YOUR HAULING VEHICLE ARE: 1. Hitch height to ground is 14 or more and 2. The face of the hitch is flush to the end of the bumper of fascia(or the furthest protruding surface) +/- 1. Also, no other equipment is in the way such as Rear Mounted spare tires and on motor-homes: rear mounted tires, ladders, gas fill tube or exhaust pipe for the motor-home.
